Litigation Experience
The use of expert witnesses and consultants is a necessary part of litigation at local, state and federal levels. Dr. Hendrickson has presented testimony or acted as a consultant in 26 cases at all judicial levels. In addition to declarations and depositions, Dr. Hendrickson has testified in 12 cases, written nine expert witness reports and has had testimony accepted by administrative law judges in New Jersey and Virginia, State judges in New Jersey state courts, and Federal judges in United States District Courts in California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, New York and Pennsylvania. Dr. Hendrickson has presented testimony relative to the size, cost and location of mental health and substance abuse programs and the need and beneficial impact of the services. His studies typically include analyses of the role of state regulations and industry trends, the imbalance between the local supply of similar services and the need for the services, the occupancy and characteristics of current residents, the costs and revenue of the services, and current and projected social and demographic characteristics of the local area.
